5th April 2013 was to be our last run together.
It was one of those days when you cover the ground quickly and effortlessly.
The sun shone as we ran through the woods, leapt over streams and jumped the styles, with the wind on our heels we just flew, together.

Orizaba was a great and loyal friend, "fancy a run" was always met with a resounding and enthusiastic 'YES' whatever the weather or the terrain we were together.
Some days when I was feeling a little low or blue he would call-out from under the bed "come on Keith lets run", together.

We had experienced great times together sunsets on Alpine trails, Sunrises on Lakeland Fells, Ultras on Sandy Cornish beaches, we'd done it all, together.
With solid build and tenacious grip we flew down slippery descents together, we excelled on rocky gnarly trails, we never injured or blistered and we'd even run through fire, together.
We had competed in many races from triathlons in glorious sunshine in exotic locations to desolate fells in blizzards, together.
But alas the shoe that runs fast doesn't last and after 77 runs and 503 miles he started to crack and peel - just as well I have two more pairs, together, in brand new boxes on top of the wardrobe.
